“Foreign Inspirations”

Open Classical Artist Series AllGood Cafe Jan16 show posterWith special guests Miika Gregg (Dallas Symphony) and Damon K. Clark (Dallas Opera), this concert features works inspired by a culture different from that of the composer.

Antonin Dvorak was a Czech composer inspired by the music he heard during a stay in the United States. Open Classical director Mark Landson was highly influenced by the music of Spain during his years living in that country. Bizet was a Frenchman also inspired by Spain and Puccini an Italian inspired by China.

All of these “foreign influences” come together in a magical concert presented by dynamic musicians and performed in an intimate acoustic setting with fine Italian food in an affordable package.

Momo’s Prix Fixe Menu

Prefixe menu includes salad plus choice of five favorite American-Italian classic entrees. Does not include beverages, tax, and tip. Wine special of $5 per glass or $20 per bottle.

Fresh green salad with Italian dressing and walnuts.

Our treatment of the American-Italian classic.

Lasagna al Forno
Sheets of fresh pasta topped with Rago di Carne, Bechamel and mushrooms, topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella and Italian parmesan.

Capelli d’ Angelo all Momo
Fresh angel hair in a creamy tomato sauce made with shrimp and smoked salmon, slightly spicy.

Maccheroni all Vesuviana
Rigatoni pasta with a chunky tomato sauce, lots of basil, garlic and fresh mozzarella stirred in at the last moment.

Conchigle Modo Mio
Pasta shells in a creamy tomato sauce mixed with gruyere, fresh ricotta, genoa salame, chicken breast and pancetta.

Penne al basilico
Penne pasta with warm olive oil and lemon juice, chopped tomato, basil and a spoon of our fresh pesto sauce.
